Dial-Up Access Settings

  1. Double click on the "My Computer" icon.

  2. Double click on the "Control Panel" icon.

  3. Double click on the "Network and Dial-up Connections" icon.

  4. Double click on the "Make New Connection" icon.

  5. Mark "Dial-up to private network"
  6. Click "Next."

  7. Check the box beside the modem that you will be using to connect.
  8. Click "Next."

  9. Enter your local dial-up access number.  Visit this link to locate your number.

    Click here to look up your local dial-up access number    .  Enter the following information:
        1. State
        2. City
        3. Area Code - Leave Blank
        4. Network - Select Network A
        5. Click on SEARCH
     

  10. Click "Next."

  11. Mark "For all users"
  12. Click "Next."

  13. Enter "MidOhio.Net" in the connection name field, and check the box beside "Add a shortcut to my desktop"
  14. Click "Finish."

  15. Right click on the "MidOhio.Net" icon and select "Properties" from the command window.

  16. Select the "Networking" tab.

  17. Check the boxes beside "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" & "Client For Microsoft Networks"

  18. Select/Highlight "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and click the "Properties" button.

  19. Mark "Obtain an IP address automatically"

  20. Mark "Obtain DNS address automatically"
  21. Click "OK" twice.

  22. Double click on the "MidOhio.Net" icon.
  23. Enter your "FULL Email Adress" and "Password."
  24. Click "Dial."
