Fast Tips

Restart your computer.
Make sure your username and password are entered in all lowercase.
Make sure you are using the correct dial-up access phone number.
Make sure the telephone cord is plugged into the "Line" jack of the modem, NOT the "Phone" jack.
If you are using an external modem, make sure the power is turned on, and the serial cable is plugged into the computer.
If you have call waiting, and you can't/don't disable it, incoming calls may disconnect you from the Internet.
If you are getting disconnected after checking your email in Microsoft Outlook Express, check this connection setting.
Verify your dial-up access settings.
