Genealogy and Local History
The Library Collection in the Annex, at the DELAWARE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY focuses on material for Delaware County, Ohio and adjacent counties. Sources include vital records, county histories, census data, maps, newspapers, etc. The collection contains many microfilms and the IGI (for all of the USA and most of Europe), the vital records and compilations of materials found in the County Court House and elsewhere. This material has been prepared by members of the DELAWARE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY and the DELAWARE COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY,  and others.

The volunteer librarians are members of the Delaware County Genealogical Society, and will do their best to assist you in your research.
 
The NASH HOUSE, 1880's House Museum open Mid April to Mid November, Sunday and Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:30 PM local time. CLOSED all Legal Holidays.

NOTE: Special appointments may be made by calling well in advance for use of the Library at times and days not listed above, of for group tours of the house.

Research Donation

Research will be performed for donations at the rate of $10.00 per hour, plus copy costs and postage. Address your query to Research Dept. Delaware County Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 1126, Delaware, OH, 43015-8126 or email us .  Please be sure to include your mailing address.


A name search only, will be performed as follows: For a $5.00 donation, volunteers of the Delaware County Genealogical Society will conduct a surname search of the "Bouic Index of Delaware and Union Counties" (covering over 300 sources relating to the area). The search will include (two pages) of persons with the same last name, (if there are more you will be advised), a list of the sources and some possible researchers if further work is needed.
