How to Solve Most Problems?
MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator can automatically fix most configuration problems. Select Repair from the MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator menu (Right click the MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator icon). Make sure that all running programs are closed when selecting Repair. In rare instances, MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator must be reinstalled altogether.
How to Cancel?
Users may cancel the service at any time by contacting MidOhio.Net.
How to Re-install MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator?
Locate the file MidOhioNetAccelerator.exe on your computer and run it to install. Or, download the file from www.midohio.net/accelerator/MidOhioNetAccelerator.exe. You shall need your access code to enter.
How to find the Access Code?
Double click the MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator icon and select Status.
Remove Ads
- Ad Removal enabled may sometimes cause unusual behavior or errors on some web pages. If you experience unusual behavior, decrease Aggressiveness to Min or disable Ad Suppression altogether. A yellow icon “Done, but with errors on page” may appear on the status bar of the browser. This is not an error.
- With Ad Removal enabled, you may occasionally see ads, that have already been cached on you hard drive before installation of MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator. These ads do not consume additional bandwidth.
Firewalls
MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator works with the majority of personal firewalls. If you use a firewall, you may need to configure it to allow MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator to access the Internet. The MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator modules, accessing the Internet, are PxClient.exe and PxUI.exe.
Anti Virus
It is possible for Anti Virus virus definition updates to interfere with MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator. If you experience problems after performing virus definition updates, run Repair for proper operation.
Icon Blinking
The MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator icon is blinking, when the data is transmitted through MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator. If the MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator icon is not blinking, when you are browsing the Web, you may need to run Repair. The icon is not blinking when pages are loaded through a secure connection (HTTPS), because they are transmitted directly, not through MidOhio.Net Web Accelerator.
